Walter Christopher Peters, age 65, of Laurel, Indiana died Tuesday, November 2, 2016 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

Born March 19, 1951 in Hamilton, Ohio he was the son of William C. & Gladys (Harding) Peters.  On April 28, 2010 he was united in marriage to the former Fannie Louise Pursiful, and she survives.

Christopher was a retired Mechanic, and a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Besides his wife Fannie Louise, survivors include his mother, Gladys Peters of Brookville, Indiana; four children, Laura Beth Wilson of Greensburg, Indiana, Walter Christopher Peters Jr. of Sunman, Indiana, Carrie Peters of Connersville, Indiana and Mary Ellen Privot of Peppertown, Indiana; two step-sons, Charles Edwin Steele and Lawrence Lee Steele both of Laurel, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Tressa M. Baker of Laurel, Indiana, Sarah Ann Grubb of Metamora, Indiana, and Lou Cindy Hager of Williamsburg, Kentucky; seven brothers, William Randall Peters of Brookville, Marion Thomas Peters of Connersville, James Martin Peters of Batesville, Indiana, Troy Daniel Peters of Laurel, Indiana, Paul Melvin Peters of Batesville, Indiana, Kenneth Columbus Peters of Laurel, Indiana and Benjamin Jason Peters of Aurora, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Peters who died April 6, 1995.

Family & friends may visit from 4 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Albert Rose will officiate the Funeral Services on Monday, November 7, 2016, 10:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville where his brothers and son will serve as pallbearers.
