Velma Ash Honeycutt, age 90, of Connersville went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville.

Born December 12, 1935 in Owsley County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Harvey & Ethel (Chaney) Brewer.

A homemaker, she was a member of Community Gospel Church in Connersville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her sons, Ray Ash; her second husband Jimmy Honeycutt; three brothers, Herbert Brewer, Louie Brewer, and Jimmy Gumm; three sisters, Anna Lee Ott, Mary Ruth Blue, and Nancy Jean Henderson.

She is survived by two sons, Gary (Patty) Ash of Cambridge City, Indiana and Dennis (Melissa) Ash of Raymond, Washington; one sister, Betty Sue Fligor; four grandchildren, Benjamin Ash, Talon (Stephanie) Ash, Jeremy Ash, and Kailey (Jon) Winchester; five great-grandchildren, Emerie and Brewer Ash, and Jathan, Knox and Leo Winchester.

At the deceased's request, there was no public viewing. Private graveside services for the family were officiated by Pastor David Pinter at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
