Tim Downard, age 57, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he had been a patient for 8 days. He had been in failing health the past four years. Born June 22, 1958 in Oxford, Ohio he was one of 11 children born to the late Thomas Downard Jr. & Nancy Watterson Downard. He lived all of his life in Brookville. For many years he was employed at Downard s Blue Flame in College Corner as a delivery driver. He had also driven a school bus for the Franklin County Community School Corporation. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1129 of Brookville. He loved fishing and had traveled extensively on many fishing trips. He also loved to garden & hunt mushrooms. Spending time with family was also important to Tim, and he enjoyed attending family functions. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Downard & Companion Duane Thalheimer of Brookville, Indiana, Sarah LaFary & husband Joe of Connersville, Indiana; three granddaughters, Samantha & Jessica Richardson, Jamie Thalheimer; three sisters Ruby Erjavec of Leesburg, Florida, Joyce Jordan of Brookville and Donna Cook & Husband Gary of Brookville; four brothers, Mike Downard, Bruce Downard & wife Kim of Brookville, Indiana; Roger & wife Ruthann and David Downard & Wife Rosemary, all of Metamora; as well as many nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip & Donnie Downard and a sister, Mary Jane Downard; as well as his former wife, Linda Cobb. Pastor Steve Downard will officiate the Memorial Services at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
