Thomas C. Rasnick Sr., age 73, of Brookville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at The Waters of Batesville in Batesville, Indiana.

Born January 21, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Grant & Emma (Meyer) Rasnick.  On August 2, 1975 he and the former Janice Eileen Boertlein were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on May 30, 2021.

He was retired, having worked for the Railroad for most of his life.  In his leisure time he enjoyed tinkering on cars and fixing things, taking pride in fixing things that no one else could.

Survivors include four children, Christa Hall of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Thomas Rasnick Jr., John Thomas Rasnick, Joanie Messerschmidt all of Brookville, Indiana; five grandchildren, L.A. Hall, Tiffany Gain, Owen Messerschmidt, Kyle Messerschmidt, Olivia Messerschmidt; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Rasnick of Cincinnati, Ohio and a brother, Jerry Rasnick of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janice, and a brother, Bobby Rasnick.

Private services will be conducted with burial in Creekside Cemetery in Brookville.
