Sidney Francis Wood, age 83, of Brookville, Indiana and formerly of Three Rivers, Michigan died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana.

Born July 15, 1934 in Three Rivers, Michigan he was the son of the late Virgil & Margaret (Bowen) Wood.  He was a retired carpenter, and had also been employed for several years at the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.  In his leisure time he was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman; enjoyed bowling and metal detecting; and had also held a private Pilots License.  He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Cheryl) Wood of Newaygo, Michigan, David Wood of White Pigeon, Michigan and Dale (Lonnette) Wood of Three Rivers, Michigan; four grandchildren as well as seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Wood.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Michigan.
