Scott M. Sams, age 58, of Laurel, Indiana died unexpectedly Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his residence in Laurel.

Born June 8, 1963 in Connersville, Indiana he was the son of the late William & Virginia (Taylor) Sams.  He was a United States Army Veteran.  On December 14, 1992 he was united in marriage to the former Lynn Lunsford, and she survives.

Besides his wife, Lynn, survivors include four children, April (Kevin) McGuire, Kristi (Travis) Seals, Mitchell (Sarah) Sams, Cassidy (Eugene) Sams; seven grandchildren, Devin (Katie) McGuire, Paige McGuire, Cole McGuire, Ashley Seals, Bryor Sams, Noah & Sophia; two sisters, Terri Ryckman and Joy Atkins as well as two brothers, Bill Sams and Rick Sams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sandy Miracle, Joanne Groch and Deb Keen; nephews Chuck Singleton and Billy Joe Sams, and niece Jenni Miracle.

Family & friends may visit from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.
