Scott Roemer, age 59, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, February 14, 2022, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

Born January 13, 1963 in Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of William S. Roemer & Shirley (Schmid) Marr. He was a graduate of Brookville High School (class of 1983). On June 10, 1988, he was united in marriage to Lisa (Shepherd) Roemer who survives him.

He worked for many years as a custodian.  In his leisure time he enjoyed Cincinnati Reds Baseball; and was a fan of country music, with Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Lorrie Morgan being some of his favorite acts. He always loved a good meal with a cold Coca-Cola and something sweet!

His greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Neoshia.  Despite his personal limitations, he made it a priority to give her one of the greatest gifts of her life: a strong educational foundation that allowed her to excel academically and pursue her higher education and career.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 33 years, Lisa Roemer, his daughter, Neoshia Roemer both of Pullman, Washington; his mother & step-father, Shirley (Bill) Marr of Okeechobee, Florida, his father, William Roemer of Brookville, Indiana; his siblings, Rose (Ray) Boggs of Metamora, Indiana, Steve (Kim) Roemer of Brookville, Indiana, Sheila (Buddy) Crank of Laurel, Indiana, Don (Faith) Roemer of Blooming Grove, Indiana, Gray Marr of Brookville, Indiana, LeeAnne Precht of Laurel, Indiana and Sandra Boggs of Brookville, Indiana. Scott also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Carol M. Roemer, his father-in-law, Jennie Shepherd Jr; as well as his grandparents, Frank & Martha Schmid and Cecil & Nadine Roemer.

Family & friends may visit from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Ladona Webb, pastor of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.
