Sara L. Helms Weisbrodt, age 62, of Brookville, Indiana died unexpectedly Monday May 18, 2020 at her residence in Brookville, Indiana.
Born August 23, 1957, in Connersville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Merle A. and Eleanor (Hornung) Helms. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Sara was dedicated to volunteerism for the benefit of her fellow residents.
She was employed as an administrative assistant at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She also served on the Celebrating Sisterhood Awards Committee at Miami University and served as an administrative assistant at Bethel A.M.E., where the members loved her. In her leisure time, she enjoyed helping the community through various fundraisers done through her candle company. She cherished time spent with her granddaughter, Aubrey; and her faithful canine companion, Doodle, all while sipping her favorite beverage of choice—Diet Coke.
Survivors include a son, Matthew, daughter-in-law, Megan, and granddaughter Aubrey Weisbrodt of Westfield, Ind. Her three sisters, Rebecca Helms of Madison, Ind.; Martha Rosenberger of Harrison, Ohio; and Rachel Treadway of Bath, Ind.; and a brother, Mark Helms of Columbus, Indiana, also survive her.
Services will be private with a burial in Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield, Ind.
