Ruby J. Halpin, age 89, of Metamora, Indiana died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Heritage House of Connersville where she had been a resident for several years.

Born September 3, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio she was one of ten children born to the late Lee & Era (Ledford) Wilson.  On April 12, 1952 she was united in marriage to Paul E. Halpin, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2008.

Ruby & Paul owned & operated both the former Halpin's Service Station in Metamora, and the Hav-A-Bite Restaurant in Metamora for many years.  She was a member of the 10TH Street Pentecostal Church in Connersville.  In her leisure time she enjoyed being with family & friends, fishing, and traveling.

Survivors include three sons, Ray (Sherrie) Halpin of Metamora, Indiana, Kent (Tammy) Halpin of Laurel, Indiana and Bill (Dana Noble) of Connersville, Indiana; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Collins of Connersville, Indiana; three sisters-in-law, Betty Wilson of Peppertown, Indiana and Ella Mae (Bud) Lee of Fredrickstown, Missouri, and Erma Wilson of Metamora, Indiana.

In addition to her parents & husband Paul, she was preceded in death by four sons, Keith Wilson, Steve Halpin, Roger Halpin and Mark Halpin; two granddaughters, Tara Jean Halpin & Melissa Halpin; two sisters, Hazel Baker & Ida Reese; six brothers, Wallace, Cecil, Ted, Buck, Gene & James Wilson, and an infant brother, Homer Wilson.

Family & friends may visit from 5 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Metamora Church of God, 20124 U.S. Highway 52, Laurel, Indiana.

Rev. Wayne Ison & Brother Ryan Halpin will officiate the Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Metamora Church of God.  Burial will follow in Metamora Cemetery.
