Roy Wayne Bolser, age 79, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday evening December 24, 2018 at Fairway Village Nursing Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born June 9, 1939 in Butler County, Ohio he was the son of the late Clarence & Lucy (Bond) Bolser. On June 7, 1958 he was united in marriage to the former Gail Powell and she survives.

He worked as a dairy farmer prior to going to work at Hamilton Foundry in Harrison, Ohio from where he retired. He was a member and former Trustee of First Baptist Church of Brookville, and a member of the National Rifle Association. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting & fishing and being outdoors.

Besides Gail, his loving wife of over 60 years, survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Sherry & Billy Burkhart of Brookville, Indiana, a son & daughter-in-law, Bryan Scott & Jeanetta Bolser of South Decatur, Indiana; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther (Bob) Landers of Bright, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Rita Bolser of Brookville, Indiana, three brothers, Herschel (Alpha) Bolser, Gary (Kay) Bolser and Fred (Judy) Bolser all of Brookville, Indiana; as well as many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Cristine Faye Kelly who died February 4, 2015, a son, Mark W. Bolser who died March 4, 1987; a sister Phyllis Willsey and a brother, Ronald Bolser.

Family & friends may visit from 5 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Mike Holman, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services on Friday, December 28, 2018, 10:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
