Roselyn A. Volz, age 88, of Oxford, Ohio and formerly of Brookville, Indiana, died Wednesday night, April 2, 2025 at her residence in Oxford.
Born December 20, 1936 in Hamburg, Indiana she was one of 11 children born to the late Aloys & Eva (Schebler) Nobbe. She was united in marriage to Urban J. "Scotty" Volz, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1981.
A homemaker, Roselyn had been a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include five children, Diana (Matt) Tepe of Sunman, Indiana, Linda (Duane) Marker of Liberty, Indiana, Vicky (Bob) Neeley of Liberty, Indiana, Kimberly Tepe of Oxford, Ohio and Scotty (Christine) Volz of College Corner, Ohio, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona Martin of Brookville, Indiana; three brothers, Leonard Nobbe of Batesville, Indiana, Clifford Nobbe of Greensburg, Indiana and Greg Nobbe of Brookville, Indiana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Scotty, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Smith, Sylvia Rosenberger, Marilyn Poe, Bernice Burkhart; as well as two brothers, Virgil 'Butch' Nobbe and Urban Nobbe.
Family & friends may visit from 9 until 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Vincent P. Lampert will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 E. St. Michael's Blvd., Brookville. Burial will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
