Richard Stanley 'Dick' Schmid, age 74, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday night March 2, 2020 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born January 10, 1946 in Brookville, Indiana he was one of twelve children born to the late Frank R. & Martha E. (Hacker) Schmid.  He was a graduate of the former Brookville High School, and lived most of his life in Franklin County, Indiana.

Dick was retired having worked in concrete construction most of his life.  In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting & fishing and spending time with family & friends.

Survivors include two children, Richie (Patricia) Schmid II of Brookville, Indiana; a daughter, Kelly Schmid of Harrison, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight sisters, Barbara Nichols of Riley, Ohio, Shirley Marr of Okeechobee, Florida, Marilyn Anderson, Frances Watson, Carol Roemer, Wanda Monroe, Vickie Cooper, and Katherine Schmid-McLaughlin all of Brookville, Indiana; two brothers, James Schmid of Winterhaven, Florida and Michael Schmid of Everton, Indiana as well as many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Claudia Schmid, several nieces & nephews, as well as twin infant daughters.

Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.
