Nellie S. Miller, age 92, of Laurel, Indiana died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana.

Born August 9, 1925 in Franklin County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late John Wesley & Grace (Stevenson) Boone.  She was united in marriage to Ervin Eugene Miller, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1987.

A Homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of the Metamora Church of Christ.  In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking, and particularly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter & son-in-law, Wanda (Ken) Doerflein of Laurel, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jason (Anna) Doerflein of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rob (Emma) Doerflein of Laurel, Indiana and Jean Doerflein (fiancé, Jake Wilson) of Indianapolis, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Levi, Vivian and Sophia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Scott, Stella Runnels, Velma Johnson; four brothers, Victor Boone, Harley Boone, Dempsey Boone, and Fred Boone.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Dennis Anness will officiate the Funeral Services on Thursday, February 8, 2018, 12:00 Noon, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
