Nellie B. Manuel, age 84, of Bedford, Indiana and formerly of Metamora, Indiana died Monday, June 29, 2015 at IU Health Center in Bloomington, Indiana. Born February 6, 1931 in Lenoir City, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late John & Allegro (Lowery) Slover. On June 4, 1948 she became the wife of John W. Manuel, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle in Metamora. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and was an excellent cook famous for her chicken & dumplings. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Tonie (Ed) Kedzierski of Bedford, Indiana and Ida (Robert) Higgs of Lawrenceport, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, John Solmes and Wendy, Sarah Kedzierski and Dennis, Kenny Tincher and Katie, Wesley Tincher and Tracy, Daniel Tincher and Crystal, Bobby Higgs and Amber, Anthony Keener and Beth; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte, Frances and Pauletta all of Tennessee. Besides her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Family & friends may visit from 6 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Ferguson Lee Funeral Home, 818 18TH Street, Bedford, Indiana; and again on Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the services at 1:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle, State Road 229, Metamora, Indiana. Pastor Troy Slagle of the Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle & Brother John Frost will officiate the Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle, burial will then follow in Cupps Chapel Cemetery in Metamora, Indiana.
