Mary E. Stamper, age 90, of Batesville , Indiana died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at her residence in Batesville.

Born December 17, 1925 in Manchester , Kentucky she was the daughter of the late John & Jeanette (Abner) Alder. On January 4, 1947 she was united in marriage to Tracy Stamper, and he precedes her in death.

A homemaker, Mary was a member of the Batesville Baptist Church .

Survivors include five daughters, Linda Moser of Batesville, Indiana, Debbie Calhoun of Sunman, Indiana, Karen Neukam of Brookville, Indiana, Donna Calihan of Brookville, Indiana and Marcia Roell of Batesville, Indiana; two sons, Linvalle Stamper of Gordon, Kentucky and Gary Stamper of Everton, Indiana; 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Tracy, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Fisher, a son, David Stamper, as well as a grandson, David Stamper Jr.

Family & friends may visit from 9 till 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue , Brookville.

Rev. Mike Holman will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville, burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
