Mary Lou Schnitker, age 80, of Brookville, Indiana died suddenly Thursday, November 24, 2016 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.

Born April 4, 1936 in Brookville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Clifford & Irene (Gesell) Evans.  On April 20, 1963 she was united in marriage to Dale A. Schnitker, and he survives.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville.  In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, baking, but most of all she loved taking care of her family.

Besides Dale, her husband of over 53 years, survivors include a daughter, Anita (Chuck) LaBau of Santa Barbara, California, a son, Allan (Tiffany) Schnitker of Alden, Iowa; four grandchildren, Heather Schnitker, Tristan Schnitker, Dylan Schnitker and Nathan LaBau; and one brother, Harold Evans of Tuscola, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Evans.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 823 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Ladona Webb will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
