Martha Jean Lanning, age 96, of West Harrison, Indiana died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana.

Born February 22, 1921 in Bath Township, Franklin County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Earl & Dora (VanAusdall) Myers.  She was united in marriage to Howard Loewe Lanning, and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2010.

She was a former member of the Macedonia Christian Church, and currently the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church; the Drewersburg Home Economics Club, Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Macedonia Willing Workers.

Survivors include four children, Barb Thompson of Bethel, Ohio, Keith (Becky) Lanning of Brookville, Indiana, Linda (Harry) Fox of Brookville, Indiana, and Dodie (Jack) Ruby of West Harrison, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as a sister-in-law, Florence Myers.

In addition to her parents and husband of 67 years, Howard, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna King; five sisters, Helen Gilmore, Ruby Reiboldt, Mary Louise Brower, Anna Belle Paulin, Margaret King; three brothers, Marvin, Donald and Paul Myers.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Andy Zinsmeister will officiate the Funeral Services on Monday, February 19, 2018, 12:30 P.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
