Marjorie R. Vaughn, age 79, of Laurel, Indiana died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her residence. Born August 18, 1935 in Jackson County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Sidney & Ora (Baker) Lunsford. She was united in marriage to Dale A. Vaughn in 1975, and he survives. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brookville, as well as the Red Hats club. In her leisure time she enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling, and shopping. Marge was a retired Beautician having worked in Brookville for many years. Besides Dale, her husband of nearly 40 years, survivors include six children, Susan (Mike) Gindling of Brookville, Indiana, Rick Christian of Laurel, Indiana, Buddy Christian of Wakefield, Kansas, Jeanetta (Jack) McDaniel of Warsaw, Indiana, Mervin Christian of Shelbyville, Indiana, Judy Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters, Betty Duke of Rushville, Indiana, Ella Bartlett of Rushville, Indiana and Donna Houchin of Sarasota, Florida; two brothers, Robert Lunsford of Laurel, Indiana Wayne Lunsford of Connersville, Indiana; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay Lunsford and Junior Lunsford; and a son, Scott Christian. Rev. Freddy Helton will officiate the Funeral Services on Monday, May 4, 2015, 10:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. Family & friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.
