Lucille King, age 96, of Metamora, Indiana died Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at her residence in Metamora, Indiana, following a lengthy illness.
Born January 31, 1930, in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late William & Maude (Fields) Miller. She became the wife of Lee Roy King on September 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2012.
She had worked at the former Haley’s grocery in Metamora, and along with her husband had owned & operated the former King’s Television and Electronics Store in Brookville.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Connersville. In her leisure time she enjoyed art, painting, sewing, as well as cooking for her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa (Dan) Banks of Brookville, Indiana, Marcia (Richard) Lawler of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Darren Lawler, Kevin Lawler, Kristin Parks, Kayla LaRosa, Patricia Dunaway; 12 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Lee Roy, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christy Reinier, two sisters, Myrtle Haley and Carrie Allen; three brothers, Clarence Miller, Jerry Miller, George Miller.
Rev. Wayne Ison will officiate the Graveside Service on Monday, May 11, 1:00 P.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
