LaVerne M. Sauerland, age 90, of West Harrison, Indiana died Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Waters of Batesville in Batesville, Indiana.

Born November 6, 1927 in Franklin County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Leo J. & Alvina K. (Pulskamp) Tebbe. On November 20, 1948 she was united in marriage to Paul F. Sauerland, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2003.

A homemaker, she had also served as bookkeeper for the family trucking business, PFS Trucking, for many years. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Church in Cedar Grove. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and yardwork, and cherished time spent with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Donna (Jack) Ketcham of Logan, Indiana; three sons & daughters-in-law, Steven & Michele Sauerland & Michael & Sherry Sauerland all of West Harrison, Indiana, and Anthony & Patti Sauerland of Batesville, Indiana; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; two sisters, Pat Deaton of Vevay, Indiana and Lee Propes of Aurora, Indiana; three half-brothers, Keith Tebbe of Brookville, Indiana, Glen Tebbe of Greensburg, Indiana and Merle Tebbe of Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to her parents and husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by a daughter & son-in-law, Victoria & Ronald Beck; two brothers, Melvin Tebbe and Virgil Tebbe, a grandson, and a great-grandson.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel, 405 US Highway 52, Cedar Grove, Indiana.

Rev. Vincent Lampert will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel in Cedar Grove. Burial will follow in Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery in Cedar Grove.
