Laura Lee Reed, age 54, of Metamora, Indiana died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born December 16, 1960 in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Earl Atkins Jr. & Lorena Moore. On September 13, 1986 she was united in marriage to Gary Reed Sr. and he survives. Laura had worked for several years at Campbell-Hausfeld in Harrison, Ohio. In her leisure time she enjoyed the outdoors, camping & fishing, playing bingo, as well as spending time with her children & grandchildren. Besides her husband Gary, survivors include three children, a daughter & son-in-law, April (Reed) White & husband David of Brookville, Indiana; two sons, Gary Reed Jr. and William Reed both of Metamora, Indiana; three grandchildren, Hunter Miller, David White Jr., and Ariana White; her step-mother, Viola Atkins of Brookville; three sisters, Theresa Flynn of Petersburg, Kentucky, Darlene Atkins and Karen Baker both of Brookville, Indiana; as well as three step-brothers, Donnie Allen, Bobby Thomasson and Tony Thomasson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step-mother, Doris Atkins, and a sister Lorena Faye Sizemore. Family & friends may visit from 9:30 until 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Pastor Tim Roberts will officiate the Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 11:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
