Kathleen B. Armbruster, age 95, of Brookville, Indiana died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana. Born November 28, 1919 in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Cecil C. Tague Sr. & Hallie B. (Smith) Tague. On November 29, 1941 she was united in marriage to George A. Armbruster, and he precedes her in death. She was a graduate of the former Brookville High School, as well as the Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio. She later earned a degree in Library Science from Miami University of Oxford. Mrs. Armbruster was a retired School Teacher and Librarian having taught at the former Springfield Township School and Whitewater School, and retired as Librarian at the former Brookville High School. She was a member of the Brookville United Methodist Church; the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #449 of Brookville; the Indiana Teachers Association; as well as the Franklin County Retired Teachers Association. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing and embroidery, reading and bird watching. She also enjoyed cooking & baking and cherished time spent with her family. Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Ann & Lonny Ashburn of Madison, Indiana; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, George, she was preceded in death by a brother Cecil C. Tague Jr.. Rev. Curtis Bond, Pastor of the Brookville United Methodist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
