Judy E. Johnson, age 73, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born April 27, 1947 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Frederick & Norma (Phelps) Pearson.  On May 21, 1967 she became the wife of James R. Johnson, and he survives.

She had been a member of the Scipio United Baptist Church.  In her leisure time she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to James, her husband of over 53 years, survivors include children, Robin Witt of Hamilton, Ohio, son in law Bob Fryer of Hamilton, Ohio and Randi (Mark) Monroe of West Harrison, Indiana;  5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald Phelps of Ross, Ohio, Ricky Phelps of West Chester, Ohio and Terry Phelps of Honolulu, Hawaii.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Fryer.

In keeping with Judy's wishes no public services will be held.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
