Jimmy Dale 'Jim' Houston, age 54, of Brookville, Indiana died unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 29, 2025 at his residence in Brookville.

Born December 30, 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana he was the son of Sam & Beverly (Brack) Houston.  On September 8, 2018 he was united in marriage to the former Jessica Harmon, and she survives.

Jim made a living driving anything with more than 4 wheels.  Dump trucks, heavy machinery, and most recently an 18 wheeler.

In his leisure time he enjoyed riding his Harley, pool tournaments with friends, hunting and fishing.  Jim had a love for nature and his farm he was building with his wife.  He had a gift of telling the best stories.  His best trait was his selflessness in caring for others; whether it was with his time on EMS or the Fire Department, or helping his mother whenever she called.  He will be greatly missed.

Besides his loving wife Jessica, survivors include two children, Onna Houston and Coleson Houston, Jessica's children whom he loved as his own, Heather Turner, Mary Dole, D.J. Turner and Meranda Turner; his parents, Sam & Beverly Houston, a brother, Jason (Kelly) Houston; as well as 13 grandchildren.

Family & friends may visit from 4 until 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Howard Houston will officiate the Funeral Service at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home; immediately following the service the family will gather at the American Legion, 1290 Fairfield Avenue, for a meal and fellowship.
