James Dale McCarty, 89, of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of Brookville, Indiana passed away January 7, 2018.

He was born June 7, 1928 in Blooming Grove Township, Franklin County, IN to the late, John W. and Beulah V. (Downey) McCarty.

James was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Connersville, IN and had been a member of the Brookville Church of Christ in Brookville and the Moose Lodge in Kissimmee, FL, serving on the Ritual Team.  James enjoyed golf and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nadia; children, Katheryn McCarty of North Manchester, IN and Michael McCarty and his wife Toni of Marine City, MI; step-children, Amy Perdue of Palm Beach, FL and Tracy Webb of Inverness, FL; grandchildren, Steven Brown, Keith Brown, Autumn Perdue and several Great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael McCarty, Jr.
