Inez Kolb, age 87, of Metamora, Indiana died early Thursday morning August 24, 2023 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born February 25, 1936 in Laurel, Indiana she was one of five children born to the late Elmer & Sarah Frances (Fox) Stone.  On June 14, 1969 she was united in marriage to John N. Kolb and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2008.

She was retired from the former Sperry Rubber in Brookville where she had been employed for over 38 years.  In her leisure time she enjoyed the outdoors, camping, as well as playing cards.

She was a member of the Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Peggy Polly) Kolb of Metamora, Indiana; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Browning of Clearwater, Florida and a brother, Stanley Stone of Metamora, Indiana.

Besides her parents, and husband John, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Cockefair who died June 18, 2011; a daughter, Rosalie Dennis Cockefair who died April 10, 2017; a brother James Stone, and a sister Rose Marie Halcomb.

Family & friends may visit from 5 till 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Rob Edwards, pastor of Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate the Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville
