Gordon Nelson Day, age 62, of Metamora, Indiana passed peacefully Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at his residence in Metamora.

Gordon served in the US Army for 21 years.  His favorite past times were spending time with his grandchildren, Circle D Rangers Train, target shooting, and playing his guitar.

Survivors include Audry, his loving wife of 16 years; three daughters, Maranda (Brian) Wardia of Florence, Kentucky, Ashlee (Doug) Boyd of Brookville, Indiana and Samantha (Farmer) Johnson of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; his mother, Gay Day of Laurel, Indiana; his siblings Joe (Nikki) Day of Laurel, Indiana, Angel (Dave) Holmes of Brookville, Indiana and Theresa (Scott) Calihan of Brookville, Indiana, as well as several nieces & nephews.

Family & friends may gather from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Dave Bowser will officiate the memorial service at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.  Burial will then follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville where military graveside honors will be conducted by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion.
