Gary L. Reed Sr., age 59, of Metamora, Indiana died Monday, December 4, 2017 at his residence in Metamora, Indiana.

Born June 28, 1958 in Batesville, Indiana he was the son of Clemon & Helen Reed.  He remained a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Indiana.

On September 13, 1986 he and the former Laura Atkins were united in marriage and she preceded him in death on October 23, 2015.

Gary worked for many years at Owens Corning in Brookville.  In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and watching football.

Survivors include his father, Clemon Reed of Laurel, Indiana, three children, April (David) White of Brookville, Indiana, Gary Reed Jr. and William Reed both of Metamora, Indiana; three grandchildren, Hunter Miller, David White Jr., and Ariana White; and two brothers, Kenny Reed and Danny Reed.

Besides his wife, Laura, he was preceded in death by his mother, and two brothers, Michael Reed Sr. & William Reed.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
