Floyd A. "Bud" Sampson, age 84, of Brookville, Indiana died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his residence. Born November 26, 1930 in Muncie, Indiana he was the son of the late Paul A. & Ursie (Kesner) Sampson. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in Korea, Japan and Guam. On November 28, 1952 he was united in marriage to the former Martha Shell, and she survives. Floyd was retired from the Railroad, and had also Farmed in Franklin County and owned his own Excavating Business for many years. He was a member of the Oak Forest Church of Christ. Besides Martha, his loving wife of nearly 63 years, survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Floydine (Dan) Lucas of Brookville, Indiana, Brenda (Don) Lanteigne of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Todd Sampson of Indianapolis, Indiana and David (Gayle) Sampson of Brookville, Indiana; 10 Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Ruth Campbell of Connersville, Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Hunter & Joan Connor, as well as a brother Melvin Sampson. Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Oak Forest Church of Christ, 13071 St. Mary's Road, Brookville. Minister Jim Webster will officiate the Funeral Services at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Oak Forest Church of Christ. Burial with Full Military Graveside Honors by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
