Evelyn C. Cooksey, age 99, of Cincinnati, Ohio and a former longtime resident of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her residence in Cincinnati. Born May 25, 1916 in Brookville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Frank Leonard & Caroline (Andres) Klotz. Evelyn was a homemaker and had also worked at the former Old Franklin Casket Company and Jay Garment Co. in Brookville. She was a member of the North Point Church in Hamilton, Ohio, and a former member of the Brookville Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her adopted family who she cherished, Tom & Becky James of Cincinnati, with whom she resided with for the past 10 years, her great-granddaughter, Jennifer James, as well as her great great-granddaughter Everlee Ballinger. Pastor Dean Lunsford of the North Point Church, Tom James, Rey Echavaria, Nick Seniour, and Dr. Marcus Cobb will officiate the Funeral Services on Saturday, November 14, 2015, 2:00 P.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the services at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue.
