Esther Mae Mannie, age 73, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.

Born March 25, 1943 in Franklin County, Indiana she was one of 14 children born to Guy & Gladys (Patterson) Nesbitt.  She remained a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Indiana.

Esther was retired, having worked for the former J & J packaging in Brookville, Campbell Hausfeld; and Jay Garment Company in Brookville.  She was a member of the Brookville Church of Christ.

Survivors include her two daughters & sons-in-law, Denise (Mitchell) Grubb and Michelle (Darrin) Geiling all of Brookville; five sisters, Joann Henry of Cedar Grove, Indiana, Clara Emmons of Brookville, Indiana, Margaret Yance of Hamilton, Ohio Dorothy Mays of Arizona and Harriett Darnell of Cincinnati, Ohio; four brothers, Lowell Nesbitt of Richmond, Indiana, Donnie Nesbitt of Cincinnati, Ohio, Harry Nesbitt of Ross, Ohio and Clyde Nesbitt of Sunman, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Eleanor, and three brothers, David, Clarence, and Tom Nesbitt.

Family & friends may visit from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Kevin Waltz of Emmanuel Baptist Church will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
