Born February 19, 1927 in Franklin County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Ervin & Pauline (Baudendistel) Kolb.

She was retired from Sperry Rubber & Plastic Co. after 38 years in the Accounting Department. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Shirley & Ed Peters of Metamora, Indiana; four sons, Earl "Butch" Sawyer of Brookville, Indiana, Steve (Angie) Sawyer of Defuniak Springs, Florida, David (Carrie Maples) Sawyer of Blooming Grove, Indiana, Bruce & Joann Sawyer of Jacksonville, Florida; 13 grandchildren, Eddie Peters, DeDe Marshall, Angie Getz, Stephanie Field, Lisa Bedel, Stephen Sawyer Jr., Michael Sawyer, Kelly Trotter, Derek Sawyer, Katy Sawyer, Misti Sawyer, Kristin Sawyer, and Brittany Sawyer; 11 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Smith of Poplarville, Mississippi, Barbara Smith of Brookville, Indiana, Karen Prentice of Milan, Indiana and Olla Mae Padgett of Connersville, Indiana; two brothers, Leo Kolb of Brookville, Indiana and Donald Cummins of Metamora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William "Bill" Drewes, whom she married Sept. 17, 1971, he died June 10, 2002; a sister, Betty Johnson; three brothers, Mike Kolb, Bob Kolb and Harold Cummins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Burial will then follow in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.

Family & friends may visit from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
