Edith Faye Monday, age 92, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday night July 20, 2020 at her home in Brookville, Indiana.

Born May 24, 1928 in Alva, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Manford & Fannie (Saylor) Lee.  On November 1, 1947 she was united in marriage to James A. Monday, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2005.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brookville, as well as the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #449 of Brookville.

Faye was retired, having worked at Sperry Rubber, the former Jay Garment Company, and Danner's in Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Bryon) Ross of Greenwood, Indiana and Karen (Al) Sustarsic of Liberty, Indiana; three brothers, Bobby Lee of Rose Hill, Virginia, Lewey Lee of Wise, Virginia, Don Lee of Ewing, Virginia; and three sisters Geneva Neal of Rose Hill, Virginia, Ruth Lee of Bradenton, Florida, Lois Bailey of Ewing, Virginia; four grandsons, Adam (Jessi) Ross, Aaron (Alex) Ross, Michael (Taylor) Sustarsic, and Jeff (Keely McGrath) Sustarsic; four great-granddaughters, Taylor, Allie, Madalyn and Lucy Ross .

In addition to her parents, and husband James, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Manford Lee Jr., Charles Lee, Billy Lee, Dennis Lee, Velma Harrell, and Joy Radvansky.

Pastor Kevin Waltz will conduct the Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 25, 2020 1:00 P.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.  The family encourages all those in attendance wear a mask and observe CDC guidelines.
