Donald R. Boone, age 80, of Metamora, Indiana died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Brookville.

Born October 7, 1936 in Rushville, Indiana he was the son of the late Harley & Alma (Swanson) Boone.  On March 3, 1956 he and the former Emma Jean Jolliff were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2002.

Donald was a member of the Metamora Church of God.  In his leisure time he enjoyed being outdoors, tinkering on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include five children; Donna Roberts, Robin (Tom) Simpson, Robert "Bob" Boone, Penny Metcalf, Billie Jo (Jeff) Brown all of Brookville, Indiana; a sister, Darlene (Steve) Finch of New Castle, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. .

Besides his parents and wife, Emma Jean, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stanley Roberts & Darrell Travis Maxie, two sons-in-law, Delbert Roberts & Jody Metcalf, as well as four brothers, Omer, Phillip, Walter, and Daryl Keith Boone.

Family & friends may visit from 4 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.

Pastor Wayne Ison of the Metamora Church of God, will officiate the Funeral Services on Friday, September 15, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
