David Russell, age 85, of Mt. Carmel, Indiana died late Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence in Mt. Carmel, Indiana.

Born March 6, 1939 in Clay County, Kentucky he was the son of the late Fred & Zola Russell.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

David was retired having worked for much of his life in construction.  In his leisure time he had enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Michelle Russell of West Harrison, Indiana and a son, Jeffrey Scott Russell of Harrison, Ohio; five grandchildren, Dusty, Randi, Cian, Sarah, and Tara; several great- grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Annette Shannon and Linda Cogar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruth, a brother Andrew, a granddaughter Kendra, and his stepmother Winnie Russell.

Private Services will be conducted with interment in Kentucky at a later date.
