David Walter Broering, age 62, of Metamora, Indiana died Monday, September 11, 2023 at his residence in Metamora, Indiana following a battle with cancer.

Born January 4, 1961 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the one of five children born to Frank G. 'Jerry' & Ann (Gray) Broering.  David worked at Spring Lakes for many years.

In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing poker with his friends.  He also collected knives and flashlights.

Survivors include his mother, Ann Broering of Metamora, Indiana; a daughter, Alicia Neanover of Brookville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Layla, Stella and Calvin Neanover; a brother, Danny Broering of Brookville, Indiana, and three sisters, Lisa Lindner of Vevay, Indiana, Andrea Cummins of Metamora, Indiana and Tricia Bischoff of Connersville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank G. 'Jerry' Broering who died August 11, 2011.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
