Carol Lynn Simmermeyer, 66, of Metamora, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her residence, following a lengthy illness.
Born September 23, 1958 in Hamilton, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Ninah Flannery Hertel. On November 27, 1984 she was united in marriage to Dan Simmermeyer, and he survives.
Carol worked for over 21 years at Four Seasons Florist in Brookville. In her leisure time she cherished spending with her grandchildren, attending their sports events and activities, flowers and gardening; as well as her pets.
She was member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville.
Besides Dan, her husband of over 40 years, survivors include five children, Aimee (Brad) Brunemann of Metamora, Indiana, Andy (Aimee) Meyer of Brookville, Indiana, Abby (Philip) Kennedy of Brookville, Indiana, Josh (Mallory) Simmermeyer of Brookville, Indiana and Jenna (Joel) Whittington of Metamora, Indiana; a sister, Kim Campbell of Middletown, Ohio; cousin, Jeff Johnson of Brookville, Indiana; 18 grandchildren, Trent, Kaitlynn, Alissa, Drew, Brady, Rylee, Kaelyn, Addyson, Reed, Khloe, Jameson, Kendall, Kase, Gunner, Abel, Ryker, Aiden, Hudson, with another one on the way in September 2025!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ninah Flannery Hertel, her niece, Michaele Howard; father-in-law, Jerry Simmermeyer; her aunt, Marilyn Johnson; and brother-in-law, Chris Smith.
Family & friends may visit from 8:00 A.M. till 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.
Rev. Vincent P. Lampert, will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, June 19, 2025 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 East St. Michael Blvd., Brookville. Burial will then follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
