Carol A. Borne, age 71, of Brookville, passed away Sunday morning, July 20, 2025, at her residence in Brookville, following a lengthy illness.

Born October 10, 1953 in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Clarence V. & Helen L. (Baker) Brack.  She was united in marriage in 1970 to William Thomas Borne, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2024.

Carol worked as a cook for years and was renowned for her pies featured in local restaurants.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Borne of Brookville, Indiana and Bill Borne of College Corner, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jonathon Borne & Paris Borne; a great-grandchild, Myra Borne; three sisters, Beverly Houston, Karen Short, and Patty Martin all of Brookville, Indiana; a brother Robert Brack of Brookville, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, and husband William, she was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Bossert.

There will be no public services.
