Benjamin M. Oglesby, age 38, of Brookville , Indiana died suddenly, Sunday, January 31, 2016 in the Emergency Department at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville , Indiana .

Born August 11, 1977 in Hamilton , Ohio he was the son of Randy "Rogue" Oglesby & Katherine (Schmid) McGlothlin. On July 5, 2000 he was united in marriage to the former Jennifer Jackson, and she survives.

He was a graduate of Franklin County High School with the class of 1995, where he played soccer and had served as team Captain his senior year. In his leisure time he enjoyed golf, classic cars, particularly his 1972 Chevy Truck; and spending time with his family & friends.

Ben was employed at Belden in Richmond , Indiana for over 16 years.

Besides Jennifer, his wife of nearly 16 years, survivors include two sons, Austin Oglesby and Michael Oglesby both of Brookville; four brothers, Andrew Oglesby of Blooming Grove, Indiana, Matthew Shelton of Indianapolis, Indiana, Austin Shelton of Union, Kentucky and Zachary Oglesby of Cincinnati, Ohio; his mother, Katherine McGlothlin of Batesville, Indiana; his maternal grandmother, Martha Schmid of Brookville, Indiana; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Randy "Rogue" Oglesby who died May 14, 2014, his step-father, Jeffrey Shelton who died February 23, 2015; his paternal grandparents, Rollie & Millie Oglesby; and his maternal grandfather, Frank Schmid.

Family & friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave. , Brookville.

Rev. Curtis Bond will officiate the Private Funeral Services at the convenience of the family.
