Amanda Christiana Hertel, age 31, of St. Leon, Indiana died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her residence.

Born March 13, 1985 in Oxford, Ohio she was the daughter of Daniel E. & Charlene (Raines) Hertel.  She was a graduate of Franklin County High School, as well as the Kettering College of Medical Arts where she earned a degree in Nursing.  She was employed for several years as a Registered Nurse.

Amanda was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville.

Survivors include her mother, Charlene Hertel of Brookville, Indiana; a brother, John D. (Angie) Hertel of Greendale, Indiana as well as a niece whom she adored, Chloe Hertel.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel E. Hertel who died November 4, 2010.

Rev. Ladona Webb, Pastor of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, will officiate the Memorial Services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 823 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
