Allen Leroy King, age 65, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born June 28, 1953 in Batesville, Indiana he was one of eight children born to the late Kirby & Annie (Miller) King. He worked for much of his life as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.  In his leisure time he enjoyed cutting firewood, and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include five children; Joe (Tracy) Metcalf of Brookville, Indiana, Jeremy (Mary Ellen) King of Brookville, Indiana, James (Danette) King of Warsaw, Kentucky, Kathy (Johnny) Meyer of Brookville, Indiana and Lorrie (Clinton) Pardick of Laurel, Indiana; 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis (Kenny) Moore of Connersville, Indiana; a brother, Jim King of Connersville, Indiana.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary R. King, a granddaughter, Shaylynn Pardick; a sister Ruby Hubbard, and four brothers, Rufus King, Owen King, Burrell King, and Clifford King.

Family & friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Mike Holman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Brookville, will officiate the Funeral Services on Thursday, January 17, 2019, 12:00 Noon, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
