Venson Boggs

U.S. Veteran

Venson Boggs, age 87, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Waters of Batesville.

Born May 6, 1925 in Letcher County, Kentucky he was the son of the late Harrison & Ora (Ison) Boggs. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and was retired from Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, Ohio where he worked for many years.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2014 of Brookville.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandi Estes of Ross, Ohio; four sons, Ray Boggs of Metamora, Indiana, George Boggs, Scott Boggs and Terry Boggs all of Brookville, Indiana; two sisters, Jewel Crase and Christine Roark both of Kentucky, two brothers, Bernard Boggs & Franklin Boggs both of Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jerry R. Boggs who died 10/21/2010; one sister and seven brothers.

Rev. Wayne Ison will officiate the Funeral Services on Friday, November 2, 2012, 1:00 P.M. at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home with burial following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. till the time of the services at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
