Patricia D. Calihan

Patricia D. Calihan, age 69, of Metamora, Indiana died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Ft. Hamilton Hughes Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.

Born December 28, 1942 in Centerville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late James M. & Viola (Perkins) Shelton. On April 17, 1959 she was united in marriage to Coolie Calihan, and he survives.

She was a member of the Scipio United Baptist Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed traveling, flowers, the outdoors, and bluegrass music. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and she dearly loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Besides Coolie, her husband of over 53 years, survivors include seven daughters, Tammie (Howard) May, Rhonda (Rick) Abshear, Donna (Kenny) Hildebrand, Kathy (Al) Doll, Angie (Kevin) Westerfeld, Jenny (Ronnie) Jolliff, Beth (Lincoln) Laird, all of Franklin County, Indiana; 17 grandchildren as well as 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and as well as a brother.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Wayne Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.

Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
